CAROLINE M. FRASER has
more than 15 years' experience in laboratory
management, preceded by 12 years in technical and research positions.
She has particular expertise in developing new business and negotiating
managed care contracts.
Ms. Fraser has gained extensive knowledge of a wide
range of laboratory management aspects through a variety of positions in
both hospital and commercial settings. As Joint Venture Project Manager
for Damon Clinical Laboratories, she planned and coordinated joint
venture projects between Damon and hospitals, implementing the
integration of all information systems, operational systems and medical
and nursing staffs. She went on to become General Manager of Damon
Clinical Laboratories, where she was responsible for the operation of
the Northern California Regional Laboratory. Under her direction,
profits increased consistently. She expanded commercial operations
throughout northern California and diversified services to meet the
requirements of psychiatric hospitals, dialysis units, skilled nursing
facilities, and managed care providers.Ms. Fraser gained further experience with managed care
contracting as Regional Director for LabCorp in San Francisco and as
Regional Director for the Medical Science Institute Laboratory in
Burbank, California. In both positions, she expanded business through
marketing, acquisitions and managed care contract negotiation. She also
has significant experience in managing large laboratory staffs and
implementing successful consolidations and transitions, having been
responsible for multiple laboratory relocations and consolidations.
Ms. Fraser is active in several professional
associations, including the American College of Healthcare Executives
and the Clinical Laboratory Management Association. She earned her
Master of Science degree in Health Administration at the University of
Colorado and Bachelor's degrees in Medical Technology and Microbiology
at the University of Texas.
